What we deliver

Almost every engagement starts with the scan. After it you know which of the other three you need.

Business Data Scan
One week in which we map your systems and definitions. You get an action plan with a fixed figure in it. €1,200.
Business Data Models & Reporting
The data model under your numbers, from source systems through to reporting. The reporting the whole company works with comes from here.
Managed BI Services
Support on what is running: monitoring, access and somebody who picks up when a refresh fails. From €150 per month.
Interim BI Consultant
A senior consultant in your own team for a while. €100 an hour.

What a business data model costs

These are not packages to choose from. To give you an idea, we think in three sizes, from one source with the standard KPIs to several parts of the business with consolidation and an application layer. What sets the size is the number of sources, the complexity of the KPIs and calculations and the number of stakeholders with their different roles. More stakeholders means more interpretations of the same numbers and more different insights the model has to serve. Which size it becomes for you follows from the Business Data Scan. Managed BI Services sits apart from that: after delivery we stay on for managed services, so you can keep trusting the numbers.

Starter

around €3,935

Includes the Business Data Scan. One source system, from connection through to a report-ready model. The standard KPIs, such as revenue, cost and margin per period. One report.

Connect

around €8,350

Includes the Business Data Scan. Two to four sources. Fully modelled data warehouse. KPIs that calculate across the sources, such as margin per customer or per project, productivity and budget against actuals. Two to three reports.

Complete

around €19,250

Includes the Business Data Scan. Five to eight sources. Parts of the business beyond finance as well. Complex KPIs and calculations, such as consolidation across several administrations, results per location or per unit and the settlements between them. Reporting plus an application layer.

Managed BI Services

€150 to €300 per month

Monitoring, access management and support on what is running. Cancellable monthly.

From the Business Data Scan on, the price is fixed

At the end of the Business Data Scan we name a figure. That is the price, so you know up front where you stand.

We can promise that because the Business Data Scan takes the uncertainty out first. Without that step it would be an estimate and estimates climb. The scan costs €1,200 and is included in every size. More about the Business Data Scan

The scope agreement

Fixed prices only work if it is clear up front what is included. So every quote carries a list and this agreement:

If something from the agreed list is missing from what we deliver, we build it anyway at no extra charge. New requirements that were not on the list are quoted separately, before we start on them.

The second sentence is the important one. A change inside the agreed data model is a small piece of work and costs nothing extra. A new source system or a new fact table is a new piece of work and you get a separate figure for it before we begin. That way you always know where you stand.

External costs

On top of our rate you pay for the environment the model runs on. You settle that directly with the supplier and we put no margin on it.

What it is depends on where the reporting ends up. With Power BI it is user licences, currently around €12 per user per month from Microsoft. With Microsoft Fabric it is capacity rather than users. If we deliver through our own Customer Reporting Platform, it is a server and you do not pay per reader.

The amounts vary widely as a result, from a few dozen euros a month to several times that. We work it through with you up front and put it in the quote, so nothing surprises you halfway.
