The data model, the data warehouse and the definitions sit in your own environment. In your tenant, under your management, on a subscription in your name.
We do not take a copy of your data into an environment of ours. Not during the Business Data Scan, not while building and not afterwards. What we do happens inside your environment, using accounts you issue.
If we deliver the reporting through our own Customer Reporting Platform, that is the one exception and we agree it up front. The platform calculates nothing itself; it reads from the same model and draws it. Every client gets its own database there. Where that server runs and who administers it goes into the quote before you sign, not after.
A data processing agreement and a non-disclosure agreement, both before the first step begins. If you already have those documents yourselves, we use yours.
Want those documents in front of your lawyer before you book a call? Ask for them. Then they are with you before the first conversation instead of after it.
This is the question your accountant asks the moment this reporting becomes the basis for what you send your bank, your shareholders or a supervisory board: where does this number come from.
Three things make that answerable. We pull the data out of the source systems as it is, with a timestamp on it, so you can always go back to what was there. The definitions are written down in plain language rather than only in code, so you can read back what was agreed. And every report visibly carries the date the numbers run to, so a reader can see from the page itself whether they are looking at fresh figures.
Support is not a condition for the rest. You can keep the data model and take the support elsewhere, or drop both.
What goes with you: the data model itself, the definitions, the load processes from source to model, the reports and the documentation. All of it is already in your environment, so there is no handover project needed to get it there.
That is not a favour and it is not a sales line. A data model one supplier holds the key to is not a foundation, it is a dependency. That is exactly what you wanted to get away from when you started looking.
