The most common challenges with data
Companies run into all sorts of challenges with data. In some cases those obstacles hold back the growth and the success of the business. In this post we share what we see as the five most common ones.
1. Collecting data takes too long
Data comes from many sources these days, and processing it by hand is still common. That takes a lot of time and it is easy to get wrong. AmbitionBI solves this with BI tools such as Power BI: we collect the data you need from the different sources, integrate it, and bring it into Power BI. A manual process becomes automated and the chance of error drops considerably.
2. Reporting that is too complex
Traditional reporting processes, in Excel or PowerPoint, tend to produce complex and static reports. Often only a handful of people in the organisation know how to read them. We turn those reports into interactive, visual ones, so a single glance shows how the key KPIs are doing and decisions can be made better.
3. Scattered and out of date information
Sharing reports by email or on a shared drive leaves stale files behind. Not everyone has the most current version, or knows where to find it, and files saved locally cause errors. The reports and dashboards we build are available online and stay synchronised with the latest data, so everyone in the organisation is looking at the same information at the same moment.
4. Limited analysis
Spreadsheet programs such as Excel are not up to analysing large datasets, which makes deeper insight hard to surface. We offer solutions with proper analytical capability: data modelling, advanced calculation and data visualisation. That makes it possible to find the complex relationships in the data and turn them into insight worth having.
5. Little data driven culture
Companies often struggle to build a culture where decisions come from facts and analysis rather than intuition or assumption. We encourage that by giving everyone access to the data that matters to them and letting them find the insight themselves.
