Client case: FlexFirst - staffing and recruitment

Client case: FlexFirst – staffing and recruitment
FlexFirst staffing and recruitment is a staffing organisation with years of experience bringing clients and candidates together. As a franchisor, FlexFirst operates from several locations across the Netherlands, specialising in temporary staffing, secondment, recruitment and selection.
“Vanuit de aanpak Diagnose, Develop and Deliver, heeft AmbitionBI een professioneel dashboard opgeleverd met veel visuals, inzichten en kruisverbanden. ”
Bart Withagen, FlexFirst
A sector going through major change
The staffing sector has changed considerably in recent years:
- Digitalisation: digital platforms and tools have become part of the furniture in staffing, from online application and matching tools to e-learning and digital invoicing and payroll systems.
- More flexible working: flexible working is here to stay and demand for it keeps rising, particularly among younger workers. Staffing organisations are expected to offer more flexible arrangements, such as part time work, freelance assignments and temporary contracts.
- Changing legislation: the Dutch Balanced Labour Market Act came into force in 2020 and affected several parts of the staffing sector, including the flexibility of employment contracts, the cost to employers and the rights of flexible workers.
Those changes have made staffing a demanding market, in which the need for insight at every level of the organisation has only grown. Across several conversations with Bart Withagen, the challenges in the sector were translated into what FlexFirst specifically needed.
Business intelligence as the guide for change
Using Power BI, AmbitionBI developed an effective and visually appealing dashboard. Charts, diagrams and colour coding make the information easy to read and quick to act on. That has made it far easier for FlexFirst to look ahead, rather than react to internal and external change after the fact.
